Product description
Tested and confirmed working
Vintage analog photographic paper. Manufactured in Germany by AGFA / IG, tested and confirmed working by BromideOxides Studio.
Expired, label indicate 1936y. Surprisingly, inside a box I've found bank note from 1940, so those vintage photographic papers are about 80 years old now!
Box of Brovira vintage photographic paper was collected by me in winter 2020/21 and since then stored in cool and dry place (5-10°C . 55-65% humidity). Box was opened and tested by me in Feb 2021, then confirmed working - packed in light-proof box that contains 35 (or 55) sheets each, and again stored in cool and dry place.
Papers are used by me from time to time as I like paper small format, good for pocket or surprising friends on stroll. Used also for contact print on Copirex machine, long story will tell some day.
Please note, this paper is very rare finding, 80 yo and still wonderful working. It has
- smoke that can be reduced by D166 developer or by other methods (see READ MORE below) but I prefer to keep it. It's not so high and developed carefully could give lovely vintage look and feel.
- no cracked gelatin found but paper is highly rolled up, so be careful to not crack it while straightening.
- rare random spots of bacteria (white undeveloped spots). I've found it on one per 5-7 sheets, this way I'm adding extra 10 sheets to each box that gives 25 (or 45) and 10 free.
